| QUANT - Universal Analyzer
for Network Traces |
| |
| Automatic CID Configuration |
|
QUANT is capable of automatically configuring CID
and TFS by scanning a connected ATM. QUANT can extract
all parameters from an Iub interface without any need
to reboot the NodeB or perturbation of the operating
network, thereby improving testing efficiency.
|
| Flexible Data Storage |
|
Captured protocol data can be saved manually or automatically.
In manual mode, QUANT can capture and store data files
of any size. In automatic mode, data can be dumped
into consecutive files by the number of frames, decoding
file size, or at frequent time intervals, as required.
During long term tests, data can also be saved in
subsections and the subsection files can later be
opened at once a joined into a seamless log.
|
| Call Trace Analysis |
 |
Traces
of individual calls or network procedures (location
update, flow failed, etc.) can be displayed separately
in a call trace view. |
 |
The
messages are automatically analysed, related to
the associated network procedure and depicted
in form of message sequence charts for effective
trouble shooting. |
 |
Individual
procedures are quickly retrieved through configuration
of suitable filter conditions that may include
the wildcard characters ? and *. |
 |
The
items in the call trace view are hyperlinked with
related messages in the capture view so that the
user can easily alternate between the two representations. |
 |
Individual
subscriber identities can be traced by TMSI/P-TMSI,
IMSI, UE-ID and Called-Num.
|
|
| Counters and KPIs |
 |
QUANT
can determine counts of particular message types
or messages with a specified information element
value. It can do counts on any particular field
of a message and plot a respective chart over
time. |
 |
Protocols
supported:
ALCAP, BICC, BSSAP, BSSGP, BSSMAP, BTSM, CAMEL,
CC, ETHER, FP, FR, FTP, GMM, GPRS LLC, GPRS NS,
GTP, H225, H245, H248, ISUP, IUUP, LAPD, M2UA,
M3UA, MAP, MM, MTP2, MTP3, NBAP, RANAP, RNSAP,
RP, RR, RRC, RTCP, RTP, SCCP, SCTP, SIP, SM, SMS,
SS, SSCOP, TCAP, etc. |
 |
QUANT
provides statistics and analyses of key performance
indicators (KPIs) with the option to plot the
results as line chart, histogram etc. for objective
assessment of network performance. |
 |
KPI
customization is supported. |
|
| Diversity of Storage Formats |
 |
An
outline of all captured PDUs can be saved as MS-Excel
compatible CSV format. |
 |
Fully
decoded PDUs can be saved as TXT format. |
 |
Call
traces and statistics graphs can be saved as BMP
graphics. |
 |
Decoding
tree of single PDUs incl. basic information, original
and decoded data can be saved to TXT format. |
|
| Display and Capture Filters |
|
Filter conditions can be applied flexibly to retrieve
essential data. QUANT provides two kinds of filters,
display filter and capture filter. The filter conditions
can be set in relation to protocol stack, message
information element (IE) or IE value.
Moreover, the amount of captured data can be reduced
by optional pre-filtering of useless messages,
such as POLL STAT of SSCOP, IUUP U-plane data and
FISU of MTP2.
