When a new software release of a network or service node is rolled out in the field, the software needs to be fully tested for a few hours or days in order to secure the proper installation and configuration of the release.
It is a tedious task to perform this manually on all the MSC/ BSC/ BTS/ GGSN/ SGSN/ BG etc. Today it is possible to upload a new network release onto a node via remote access, but for the sake of performing the rollout test, many operators still need to send a service team on site to execute large test campaigns manually.
With an LTS-F system installed all over the network, it just takes a few mouse clicks to start a standard regression test suite which checks all relevant features at any place in the network. |
